Work In Progress
A gouache painting I started weeks ago, but haven't had the time to complete. I started working on it again today. I'll post when it's finished. It's inspired by an children's book illustration by Eloise Wilkin found in this book.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
That looks great even in its unfinished state. I'm surprised that the bird was not the first to be painted. Or is that typical?
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm not sure what is typical! My paintings progress in a pretty organic manner, and that bird wasn't painted yet because it was the last detail I have drawn (so far). Lots more will be added...
ReplyDeleteOoo! Ghost bird. It's, as usual, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy mom got that little book for my baby daughter!
ReplyDelete@exploreportlandnature it's a wonderful book all around, but especially as a child's first nature book!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see your work in progress, always fascinating to see. What's the little black and white bird, something like a Treecreeper? Sweet book too, with some lovely ideas. My book is out if you care to look? :)
