Chicago illustrator that loves things feathered and wild. I'm also an amateur birder, that once a week volunteers in the bird division of the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History. I make study skins (taxidermy) of birds that have met their ends colliding with downtown buildings. Most of these species migrate through the Chicago area in spring and fall. The birds are collected by volunteers, brought to the museum, and prepared for the collections to be used for research. I write about and include paintings that have been inspired by my museum experiences, as well as my other illustration work that is almost always inspired by the natural world.
